Stress eating

Guest blog: When you become stressed and life is overwhelming, you tend to stress eat. People eat junk food and stress eat, even if they are not hungry. This does not actually help you de-stress, although people believe that it works. Rather than stress eating, try triangle breathing: breathe in for a count of three, hold for a count of three, breathe out for a count of three. Or try yoga, or keep a list handy of alternative activities that you can and should do when the temptation to eat grabs you. This list of activities may include things like doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, calling a friend, etc. Pull out your list when you are feeling stressed, and you can choose an activity from the list. This will help you to keep your food choices under better control!
